Kentucky has 54 of 220 counties identified in the US as having high rates of Hepatitis C transmission and persons living with chronic Hepatitis C infection. PrimaryPlus has several medical providers trained throughout our offices to address medication that can help treat Hep C.
Direct Acting Antivirals (DAA) used to treat HCV have a 98% CURE rate when taken appropriately. It is a common misconception that your body will clear HCV infection naturally. However, over 80% of people who have been infected by HCV in the past maintain the virus chronically and will display minimal to no symptoms until significant liver damage occurs. That is why treatment is so important!
Note: Kentucky Medicaid has increased access to HCV treatment, as well as, other commercial insurance carriers.

High Risk Obstetrics: UK’s Maternal Fetal Medicine program and PrimaryPlus-OB/GYN have a longstanding relationship to ensure the highest-level of care for mothers and babies who may be at high risk during their pregnancy. Our compassionate OB physicians, midwives and nurse practitioners work closely with UK to provide a comprehensive telemedicine consultation with UK Healthcare’s MFM team. The Maternal-Fetal Medicine program utilizes advanced telehealth and ultrasound services to connect to UK’s elite team. Appointments for this service are scheduled during regular OB care visits at PrimaryPlus-Maysville. Note: PrimaryPlus-Ashland and PrimaryPlus-Grayson which offers prenatal care and women’s health services refer to UK’s MFM services located in Ashland.
Cincinnati Children’s Maysville: For years, our pediatric providers have had a wonderful working relationship with Cincinnati Children’s. The partnership grew in 2021 when we partnered with them to expand pediatric specialty services to Maysville. There are over 7 pediatric specialties that are housed on the lower level of our PrimaryPlus-Kid Care location (1350 Medical Park Dr.) through a rotation of Cincinnati Children’s medical providers.
