PrimaryPlus is excited to WELCOME Audrey Spencer, M.D. to our NEW Family Medicine Residency located in downtown Maysville. Dr. Spencer who has practiced medicine for 40 years just recently retired from private practice. In this new adventure, Dr. Spencer will take on a new role in our family medicine residency serving as part of our residency faculty and as an attending physician for our resident physicians on a part-time basis. Dr. Spencer will serve as a mentor and advisor to the residents. Although, Dr. Spencer will not be providing direct patient care or have available appointments, patients who have appointments at our residency clinic may see her join the residents during exams to observe and collaborate on healthcare decisions with the residents.
Dr. Spencer has had a profound impact on the health of our region and we are excited to have her to be a voice, advocate and role model for our residency team. Dr. Spencer has been a positive cheerleader since the discussion of our residency program began, it is only fitting that she now is part of the TEAM to help encourage these medical residents as the BECOME the future of family medicine.
