Alissa Parker, APRN, DNP, CPNP-PC, IBCLC

Alissa had 18 years’ experience as a pediatric nurse before receiving her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from West Virginia University in 2015. She now has over 15 years’ experience as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.  She is also one of the very few Nurse Practitioners certified by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Association.

Approach to Healthcare:
Alissa believes in a team based approach to healthcare. She likes to work with the child and family to  identify risks, problems, needs and resources to develop and implement a plan of care. She truly enjoys engaging with the child and family to make and achieve goals and to provide education to encourage short and long term health maintenance and illness prevention.

About:
Alissa lives with her husband and 2 sons in South Ashland. She is an avid runner, completing several 5K, 10K and half marathons. Alissa loves cooking for her family and visiting the theatre and museums.
