Alissa Parker-Smith, APRN, DNP, CPNP-PC, IBCLC

Alissa was certified as a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in March of 2004 and later received her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from West Virginia University in 2015. She now has over 20 years’ experience as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She is also one of a very few Nurse Practitioners certified by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Association.

Approach to Healthcare:
Alissa believes in a Team Based approach to healthcare. The child, his/her family and her are a team that works together to problem solve and work towards identifying and accomplishing goals for health maintenance and for illness management.

About:
Alissa lives with her husband and 2 sons in South Ashland. She is an avid runner, completing several 5K, 10K and half marathons. Alissa loves cooking for her family and visiting the theatre and museums.
