We are EXCITED to welcome our NEWEST CSW to our family…Brenda McKenzie, who will offer counseling services at PrimaryPlus-Ashland.
Brenda McKenzie is a Certified Social Worker who is passionate about helping individuals heal and develop healthy coping skills. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Ohio University and her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky.
Brenda has experience working with children in the school system and supporting adults experiencing depression, anxiety, and other mental health challenges. She strives to create a supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to work toward positive change.
Therapeutic Approach: Brenda uses a person-centered and holistic approach to care, focusing on the unique needs and strengths of each individual. She enjoys helping clients challenge negative thought patterns, build healthy coping strategies, and work toward improved emotional well-being.
Brenda’s Chronicles Off the Clock: Outside of her work, Brenda enjoys playing pickleball, taking motorcycle trips, and spending time with her family.
