
MEET Dr. Debra Parsons:
Dr. Parsons WELCOMES the OPPORTUNITY TO CARE for YOUR KIDDOS! With over 28 years experience, Dr. Parsons returns to ROWAN COUNTY to be closer to family; soak in the beauty of the region and be INVESTED in the HEALTH of the children of the region, ages birth to 21.
Dr. Parsons grew up near Pikeville, KY and completed her undergrad degree at the University of Pikeville. She completed medical school at Marshall University and then stayed in the region, completing her medical residency and internship at Charleston Area Medical Center (WV). She served as Chief Resident of Pediatrics from 1995-1996.
In recent years, she has been in private practice in Hurricane, WV and has been voted BEST PEDIATRICIAN of the VALLEY for the last three years…and NOW we get to share her love of medicine with Rowan County. She is a proud member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the WV American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Parson’s Approach to Pediatrics: “I treat my patients like they are my own and I empathize with parents. No worry is too small or insignificant–I am hear to listen and help.
MEET Dr. Cathy Boggs:
Dr. Cathy Boggs WELCOMES the OPPORTUNITY TO CARE for YOUR KIDDOS! After spending 10 years serving in the Air Force and traveling to many parts of the world, Dr. Boggs felt a strong pull to return to her Carter County roots. With over 12 years experience, she is excited to return home to be INVESTED in the HEALTH of the children of the region, ages birth to 21.
Dr. Cathy Boggs completed her medical education at Pikeville College of Osteopathic Medicine (now known as KYCOM). She then completed her medical residency at the University of Louisville before entering the Air Force in 2013.
Her husband and 4 daughters are happy to be living in Carter County. Outside of work, you’ll often find her enjoying a run or on the sidelines, proudly cheering on her daughters in whatever sport they’re doing.
Dr. Boggs’s Approach to Pediatrics: “I take a holistic approach to caring for children—addressing not only their physical health, but also their emotional and developmental well-being. I strive to treat every patient with the same compassion, respect, and attentiveness I would give my own children. My goal is to build trusting partnerships with families and provide personalized care that supports each child’s unique needs and potential.”
