Tyler J. Elam, DO (Family Medicine) joined the PrimaryPlus team in January of 2019. He’s no stranger to the area growing up in nearby Morehead, KY. He completed his undergraduate degree at Morehead State University. He then attended medical school at the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of Pikeville followed by a family medicine residency at East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Osteopathic Association.
Approach to Healthcare: Dr. Elam’s approach to care centers around the belief that patients are composed of mind, body and spirit–those three components must function in unison for maximum life quality. Less is always MORE and he heavily focuses on wellness and alternative medicine including Osteopathic Manipulation Therapy (OMT). Dr. Elam is also trained in acupuncture.
About: Dr. Elam loves spending time with his family. He has a strong faith and is actively involved with his church and mission projects. He loves running, swimming, traveling, playing the harmonica and all things Disney.
