PrimaryPlus Employees Donate Food to
Area Food Pantries

(November 24, 2009) During the month of November, PrimaryPlus employees were challenged to bring in as many canned and/or non-perishable food items as possible for their GIVE Thanks Food Drive. A friendly competition was set up among employees at the five PrimaryPlus sites to see who could bring in the most food based on the number of employees. After a close battle, PrimaryPlus’ Bracken County office was awarded the title for bringing in the most cans based on the number of employees. All together, PrimaryPlus employees collected 498 cans to share with the local food pantries, churches, food drives and other organizations throughout the Buffalo Trace region such as the Women’s Crisis Center, Lend a Helping Hand Food Pantry, Licking Valley CAP, the Christian Community Center, Brooksville Baptist and more.
“It is during these tough economic times that we need to be most aware of “GIVING.” As a federally qualified health center, we feel it is important to not only provide affordable healthcare, but to show thanks to our patients and communities by giving back,” states Tracy McGuire, Marketing and Community Relations Director for PrimaryPlus. “Our employees really dedicated themselves to this cause and we are so proud of their thoughtfulness and efforts.”
The non-profit health care organization is very thankful for its patients, for its employees, for its communities, and that they are given the opportunity to share advanced-affordable healthcare. It is PrimaryPlus’ hope that they can continue to host similar events in the future to give back.
PrimaryPlus operates sites in Vanceburg, Tollesboro, Flemingsburg, Maysville and most recently opened a site in Bracken County, KY. The federally qualified health center offers a full-range of medical services including family health, women’s health, pharmacy services, dental (Vanceburg office only) and rehab (Vanceburg office only).
